Design
The main challenge with this project was adapting the existing daily calendar design from a previous edition to new dimensions. I adjusted the design to match the new dielines while maintaining consistency with both the previous version and LEGO’s brand guidelines, a task that required lots of fine little tweaks from spacing to typesetting to get everything looking just right. With the desire for consistency also came the need to be very particular about the scale of each minifigure, making sure that they were consistent in scale despite accessories and props. For the cover, I worked to balance fan-favorite minifigures with newer ones to create a box that would make LEGO fans say, “I need this!”
